Danish craftsmanship and Caribbean heritage join forces with this Stauning Rye - Barbados Rum Cask Finish. This whisky is crafted using locally sourced, 100% floor-malted rye and barley, refined in our grain-to-glass distillery featuring the best traditional production methods resulting in a rich and complex character.
Initially matured for 1,5 years in a American virgin white oak barrel, the whisky is further aged for 4,5 years in a first-fill Barbados rum cask. Barbados is renowned for producing some of the world's finest and smoothest aged rums.
This Barbados rum cask will add layers of complexity and depth to our rye whisky, imparting notes of tropical fruit like pineapple, banana, and coconut, and notes of butterscotch, baking spice, and crème brûlée, and vanilla, resulting in a whisky that is both rich and smooth.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A Twenty-Fifth share of Cask no. 8277
This 200-litre cask is divided into 25 shares. One cask share yields approximately 10-12 bottles of 70cl whisky. Important to note that the final number of bottles may vary due to 'The Devils Cut' and 'The Angels' Share'.
The Devils Cut: How much the cask absorbs - depends on the wood.
The Angels' Share: The evaporation during maturation - depends on the climate/weather/cask.

- Cask: 1st Fill Barbados Rum Cask
- Spirit: Stauning Malted Rye New Make spirit at 64% ABV
- Cask Filled in: Q1, 2020
- Maturation: 6 years at Stauning Whisky - Expected bottling in Q1 2026
- Bottled At: 50% ABV
- Edition: Single Cask

- Two Tickets for a Distillery Tour with Whisky Tasting: An immersive experience to explore the art of Stauning whisky-making.

- Bottles will be numbered with Cask number, Cask Share number & Bottle number (e.g. Cask no. 8260, Cask Share no. 1, Bottle no. 1).

Practical Information
- Insurance: The cask is insured during the maturation period.
- Bottling Details: Includes 70cl bottles, handling, cork, foil cap, and label.

- Important: Pickup is required at the distillery, including for customers outside Denmark - shipping is not available internationally.
