Enjoy the aromatic floral notes and the light delicate palate of Stauning HØST Whisky, while celebrating the bloom of the wildflowers amongst the Danish rye and barley fields during the harvest season which have inspired the creation of Stauning HØST.
Sweet elderflower liqueur becomes the perfect bridge between barley and rye in the whisky, and sparkling wine. This cocktail can be enjoyed before dinner, which may be uncommon place for many whisky drinks but is perfectly suited to Stauning HØST. Or simply mix an Elder’s Fizz to enjoy moments of Hygge or celebratory moments with friends.
Top the cocktail up with chilled sparkling wine to elevate the flavours of vanilla, honey, green apple, and delicate citrus.
What you need
2 cl Stauning HØST Whisky
1 cl Elderflower liqueur
Chilled sparkling wine
Recipe
STEPS TO TAKE
Chill a cocktail or champagne glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside for a moment.
In a mixing glass, combine Stauning HØST with the liqueur with ice.
Stir for about 5-10 seconds to combine and chill slightly.
Discard the ice from the cocktail glass then strain in the mixture. Top the cocktail up with chilled sparkling wine.
(Optional) Consider garnishing with a few edible flowers.
