Stauning Rye Double Dip - Silver Award at IWSC 2019
Once we experimented with our classic Rye Whisky, and put it through two cask maturations, which gave it even more depth. The International Wine & Spirits Competition actually awarded it with a silver.
Stauning Rye is matured in Virgin American White Oak Casks - twice this time - we call that Double Dip. And it has gained lots of colour and flavour from the casks. It's warm, friendly and fresh at the same time spicy, bold, full-bodied and seems considerably older than the age suggests. One clearly tastes the Rye and recognize the scent of freshly baked rye bread.
IWSC Silver is awarded for "An accomplished spirit with good balance, strong character and good complexity. A classic example of its style or variety."

"A smooth and silky example, with a spicy palate and well-integrated alcohol and tannins. Nice floral elements, with a warm mouthfeel of cloves and lavender. A good grip, a lot of silky tannins, and a wood-driven long and spicy finish." - International Wine & Spirits Competition
