About us:

These are the 9 founders of Stauning Whisky that started an unusual journey back in 2005. Their mission was to create a Danish whisky that could compete with the best in the world.

Outside the small village of Stauning, we are making whisky the Stauning way: Local grains, floor malting and direct-fired small pot stills.

That's how our whisky best reflect the surroundings by the West Coast: the wind, the soil, the crops, the water and the peat.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Qualifications and Responsibilities

(For all positions)

- Minimum 3-5 years of international spirits/beer/wine sales management experience (KEY)
- Based in Northern Europe
- Be in Stauning (West Coast of Denmark) 2-4 times a month
- Full time job


- You will develop and implement marketing strategies to make Stauning world famous, with a focus on supporting our short and medium term sales goals.

- Initially the focus will be on developing the tools needed for everyone in the broader Stauning team (distillery tour guides, social media team, distributor partners, retail partners) to tell the Stauning story and convey how unique our whiskies are.

- You will lead the development of marketing campaigns to recruit new fans of Stauning across our priority markets.

- Working with the digital marketing manager you will develop strategies to nurture and grow the Stauning community globally

- You will develop marketing materials and campaigns to support each product release

We’re looking for:

- Experience in developing an iconic modern brand and strong creative judgement.
- Commercial focus to ensure we target our marketing efforts in the most effective way and make respectable budgets achieve outrageous results.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a very entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking, and project management skills required, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities essential.


- The ideal candidate in this role will have in experience in developing and executing international business plans in premium spirits, ideally whisky.

- You will develop, communicate and implement our sales expectations, objectives to our distributor and retailer partners, and help them become great advocates for the brand and delivering win-win commercial results.

- You will identify and Implement key accounts strategies across all international markets, with a focus on whisky specialist retailers on and off-line, and identifying retail opportunities aligned with Stauning’s values and Danish provenance.

- You will gather intelligence on how the whisky market is changing and use this to ensure that Stauning’s commercial plan is always ahead of the market in accessing the new global whisky consumer.

- You will have responsibility for delivering the budgeted sales goals / lead the team to ensure that the sales targets are being met.


- You will be responsible for the overall digital marketing strategy and run the day-to-day management of projects and ensure that they are completed successfully.

- We have an ambition to build a broad, deeply engaged global community across our social and email channels and you will lead the development of this community, with strategies to grow it, keep the community engaged, and turn them into Stauning customers.

- You will ensure that our own eCommerce experience is best-in-class, and that we find innovative ways to exploit direct consumer relationships globally.

- You will develop and implement social media campaigns, content calendars, maintaining the company's content.

- You will lead our paid digital marketing efforts, measuring the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns and making adjustments to spend to achieve our commercial objectives most efficiently.

- Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms and develop strategies that drive customers to the website.
