A Manhattan is the epitome of an iconic cocktail. After it was invented in the New York City's Manhattan Club, it has become one of the cornerstones in the world of cocktails. Depending on the ingredients & ratios, this cocktail can vary in so many ways.
In this Danhattan expression, it gets a distinct character from the 'Gammel Dansk' bitter, cherry & rye whisky.
What you need
5 cl Stauning Rye Whisky (alternatively, Stauning Bastard or Stauning KAOS)
2 cl Sweet Red Vermouth
5 ml cherry syrup (preferably from Maraschino or Luxardo)
5 ml 'Gammel Dansk' bitter
Recipe
STEPS TO TAKE
Mix all ingredients together with ice in a mixing glass, until cooled
Serve in a tumbler glass
Garnish with a Maraschino cherry
