Experience the harmonious blend of Danish rye whisky and Spanish sherry with Stauning Rye Sherry Cask Finish. This limited edition whisky embodies the rugged charm of West Jutland, using locally sourced rye combined with the rich, aromatic notes from sherry casks of Jerez, Spain.
The whisky opens with inviting notes of vanilla and caramel, leading into a heart of dried fruits and dark chocolate, before finishing with subtle spices and caramelised oak. This whisky offers a taste of Danish craftsmanship at its finest - perfect for savouring neat.

Exploring the Sherry Cask Finish
The journey of this whisky starts with our signature floor-malted Danish rye and barley, double-distilled in small, open-fired copper pot stills. Initially matured in new American oak barrels, the whisky is then transferred to Oloroso and Moscatel sherry casks, carefully selected from Jerez.
This finishing process imparts deep, complex flavours of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and subtle spices, weaving a rich tapestry of taste that unfolds with each sip.

LOCAL
Crafted from rye and barley sourced within a bicycle ride from our distillery in West Jutland.
AUTHENTIC
Our grains are 100% floor-malted and kiln-dried at the distillery, ensuring flavour retention through traditional methods.
COMPLEXITY
The whisky is matured on-site, first in new American oak barrels and then in Oloroso and Moscatel sherry casks, adding layers of rich flavor and depth.
CHARACTER
Double-distilled in 24 small, direct-fired copper pot stills. Non-chill filtered - residue may appear.

Nose: Vanilla, toffee, meadow honey
Pallet: Seville orange, fennel, tobacco and black tea
Finish: Figs, toffee and tobacco, Demerara sugar with soft notes of caramelised oak

Maturation
Firstly, matured in new heavily charred American oak barrels and then a second maturation in Oloroso and Moscatel sherry casks.
